Baking workshop with Andrea Schirmaier-Huber and Masterflex

It's probably every hobby baker's dream: to once bake creative recipes with a pastry chef world champion. For ten participants from all over Germany, this wish came true. It's probably every hobby baker's dream: to once bake creative recipes with a pastry chef world champion. For ten participants from all over Germany, this wish came true.

They took part in an exclusive Masterflex baking workshop with Andrea Schirmaier-Huber in Oberpframmern near Munich. There, the world champion confectioner introduced the winners to the fine art of baking and revealed valuable tips and tricks.

Anyone who enjoys wielding a stirring stick in the kitchen would certainly have liked to be there at the beginning of September: Ten participants were able to take part in an exclusive baking workshop with Andrea Schirmaier-Huber thanks to Masterflex. Participation places for the event could not be bought, but won in a nationwide raffle together with two nights in a first class hotel in the city of Munich.

"It is important to us that end consumers also learn where Masterflex hoses can be used everywhere," explained Helena Zagray, Marketing Coordinator at Masterflex. "In particular, our hoses are used in the production of confectionery such as gummy bears. We are the European market leader and with our know-how we can offer each customer individual hose and connection solutions."

Thanks to the fail-safe recipes created especially for Masterflex and the helpful tips from Andrea Schirmaier-Huber, the participants were able to make sweet dreams come true. The confectionery world champion showed the winners not only new baking trends, but also great gift ideas for the upcoming Christmas season. "I didn't think it would be so easy to make marble-look chocolate bars myself," said one participant. "I especially love all the decorating options. And I'll definitely be melting down my chocolate Santas and Easter bunnies. I think that's a great gift idea."

In addition to homemade chocolate bars, lemony cupcakes were baked and two different kinds of lollipops were poured. In the process, Schirmaier-Huber showed that you don't need any extraordinary equipment, but that ordinary kitchen equipment is sufficient to conjure up fancy sweets.

A look at the list of recipes tried out during the baking workshop explains the enthusiasm of the participants: chocolat au bloc, lollies, muffins with chocolate drops, buttercream topping, ...
