The Masterflex Group has decided to invest further in digitalisation. In order to facilitate communication between the various different sites, the listed corporation has just developed its own employee app that can be used in connection with a digital system for internal communications.
The app called MFGconnect - a reference to the group's corporate slogan 'Connecting Values' - is compatible with all mobile devices and desktop PCs. "We're pleased that we are now able to offer our staff a mobile solution that is both device-friendly and intuitive to operate," explains Dr. Andreas Bastin, Chairman of the Masterflex Group.
Previously, non-administrative employees without a PC workplace only had access to a lot of corporate information in the form of notices and through the printed personnel magazine 'Xpress'. Now it's entirely up to them to decide when and where to take a look at the latest corporate news - at work, when out and about or on the way to their next meeting. "This means that our employees can also appreciate that we place worth on being perceived as an up-to-date and forward-looking enterprise," adds Bastin.
However, MFGconnect is not simply intended to be a channel for the distribution of corporate communications but is also to be employed to stimulate dialogue. One of the main purposes of the app is to enhance the group identity of personnel as everyone will be involved in the flow of information.
Hence, together with news items and job vacancy announcements, also posted online will be internal guidelines and information on current projects and the various sites. There will be a digital bulletin board with the help of which personnel can search for, purchase and even give away items. The corporate magazine 'Xpress' will no longer be printed but become a feature accessible through the app.
MFGconnect will connect to a secure section that will initially be accessible for all employees of the Masterflex Group based in Germany while a public, slimmed-down version will address customers, business partners, service providers and other interested parties.
The app concept was developed by a team drawn from all sites, departments and levels of hierarchy to ensure that the many and varied situations and requirements of the group were taken into account in the project. A start-up company specialising in mobile personnel communication was commissioned with the technical realisation of the app.
The employee app MFGconnect can be downloaded for free from the App Store and the Google Play Store.
